Cleveland Classical Guitar Society Winter Workshop

Join us for this free workshop! We’re offering a class
on basic improvisation hosted by Brian Kozak, and a
master class by concert and recording artist Robert

The Schedule:
2:30-3:30—Improvisation Workshop with Brian Kozack
Learn the basics for melodic improvisation. Whatever
your playing ability, this class can give you some
direction and tools for improvisation. Practicing with
these tools will not only improve your ability to
improvise melodies over chord changes, but also to
develop a greater knowledge of your instrument.
3:40-5:00—Master Class with Robert Gruca
The players for Robert Gruca’s master class:
Daniel Silverman
He’s a student of Brian Kozak at Cuyahoga Community
College. He’ll be performing Leo Brouwer’s Estudio No.

Mark Cohen
Mark is an amateur guitarist who has performed in our
Cleveland Classical Guitar Society open recitals.
He’ll be performing Leo Brouwer’s Un Dia de Noviembre.
Adam Keeler
He’s a student of Stephen Aron at the University of
Akron. He’ll be performing a selection from Bach’s
Prelude, Fugue, and Allegro, BWV 998.
This workshop is part of the Cleveland Guitar
Society’s ongoing mission to help guitar enthusiasts
to get more out of their playing. We thank both Brian
Kozack and Robert Gruca for sharing their expertise.
