An exciting collaboration between celebrated performer-scholar Stanley Yates and the renowned Cavani Quartet presented in collaboration with the excellent City Music Chamber Series. Winners of the distinguished Naumburg Award and many others, Cavani have been favorite performers and recording artists since 1989. A respected performer, Yates also has his own dedicated series through mega-publisher Mel Bay. Yates-Cavani team up to bring us an exquisite afternoon performance of some of the earliest concertos for guitar at the Athletic Club of Columbus Ballroom, 2 pm, 12 October 2008. |
| Chilean guitarist Carlos Pérez is “a master guitarist with true star quality” (Classical Guitar Magazine), performing with orchestras in France, Belgium, USA, Portugal, Russia, and Chile. He has released five excellent commercial CDs and has taken first prize at many international competitions, including the prestigious Rodrigo Competition in 2006. Pérez will artfully blend impeccable class with exciting virtuosity at his recital on 8 November 2008. |
