I am Eugene Braig (far right) and I play classical guitar and mandolin semiprofessionally in the Columbus area. I studied under Karl Wohlwend. I am also the Artistic Director of the Columbus Guitar Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting classical guitar education and performance (classical music) in Central Ohio.
Our monthly meetings are held on the third Saturday of each month at 1 P.M. and are hosted by Borders Books and Music, 4545 Kenny Rd., Columbus, OH, 43220, phone: 614-451-2292. Our meetings give area teachers, students, players, and lovers of guitar music an opportunity to meet in a friendly atmosphere and enjoy the sounds of the guitar. All are welcome; please join us to play or just listen.
The Columbus Guitar Society Members’ Ensemble gives two concerts each season. Rehearsals occur twice monthly. We offer an excellent opportunity to bring your playing to the stage in a relaxed setting. Players of all levels are welcome.
The Columbus Guitar Society is the host of the only concert series in Central Ohio devoted solely to the classical guitar. This year we celebrate our 16th Anniversary Season of the Guitar Concert Series with performances by Roland Dyens, Jerome Ducharme, Jans de Kloe, and Duo Fresco.
